The Women's Forum: Deauville, France

This past week, we attended the Women's Forum in Deauville, France as part of the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards.

The Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society was created in 2005 by Aude Zieseniss de Thuin and was was ranked among the top five most influential forums worldwide by the Financial Times in 2007. The exclusive Women's Forum has often been called the "Davos" of women:

As female business and political leaders gathered in this beach resort in Normandy last week for the Women's Forum Global Meeting, an annual conclave that has been dubbed the Davos of women, the number of suits and ties in a sea of colorful female élégance definitely stood out.”
Katrin Bennhold about the Global Meeting 2010, The International Herald Tribune

featuring many luxury brands, including Cartier...

...and workshops for the attendees during the "Discovery Sessions"

 and a Sephora "Make-up Bar"...

(the chalkboard reads "Advance in Beauty"...)

...and absolutely amazing parties...

the closing dinner featured a private performance by world renowned singer Anjelique Kidjo

and the presentation of scholarships to students from Haiti...

...and "Rising Talents" from around the world

...culminating in some of the most influential leaders in the world letting loose, forming a conga line and dancing all night.

It was very surreal.
